From September 30, the airline plans to resume regular flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Tokyo. In the coming time, Vietnam Airlines is expected to re-operate a regular international commercial flight route between Vietnam and China, Taiwan (China), Laos and Cambodia.
On September 21, 2020, Vietnam Airlines recorded the volume of domestic passenger transport reaching nearly 40,000 passengers, an increase of more than 12% over the same period in 2019. The airline has just increased the frequency on 8 domestic routes. Previously, from the beginning of September, Vietnam Airlines restored a series of domestic routes between Hanoi - Chu Lai, Tuy Hoa, between Vinh - Buon Ma Thuot and between Hai Phong - Dien Bien.
From September 29, Vietjet Air has resumed regular commercial flights between Ho Chi Minh City - Tokyo/ Seoul (Korea) and Hanoi - Taipei (Taiwan), with a frequency of 1 round trip/ flights/week. Previously, Vietjet Air had also completely restored its domestic flight network.
Bamboo Airways has restored existing domestic routes and opened many new routes, notably 3 direct flights to Con Dao from Hanoi, Hai Phong and Vinh from September 29, 2020.
